Howard founded Carolina Investment Brokers in 2002 to help business owners navigate complex ownership transitions with clarity and precision. With more than two decades of experience in business brokerage, real estate, and title services, he brings a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to transaction execution.

His work focuses on valuation, contract coordination, due diligence management, and collaboration with lenders, attorneys, and title professionals to support accurate, compliant, and timely closings.

Howard has been recognized as Small Business Leader of the Year by the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce and received a Star of Excellence from G.E. Capital Financial Advisors for his commitment to professionalism and client service.

Barb Molton
Co-Founder and Director of Operations

Barb is a native of Hendersonville, NC and brings a strong background in accounting, data processing, and business operations. She studied at Western Carolina University and earned an Associate Degree in Data Processing from Blue Ridge Community College.

With years of experience in financial management and administration, Barb has co-owned and managed multiple businesses, including SafeTech Security Systems and Flat Rock Cinema, where she oversaw accounting, organization, and operational workflows.

In her role as Director of Operations, Barb provides oversight of the company’s financial organization and administrative functions, helping ensure the business remains structured, compliant, and operating efficiently. She plays a key role in maintaining internal systems, supporting regulatory compliance, and keeping core business processes on track.
