What does a Business Valuation do?
What does a Business Valuation Report include?
What information do you need to create a Business Valuation Report?
- Business tax returns and profit and loss statements for the last three years and current sales numbers
- Bank statements from the last several months – preferably a year
- A copy of your current lease (we never contact the landlord without your permission)
- Employee information – such as number of employees, wages, hours, duties, payroll reports, etc.
- A brief history of how long you have owned the business and why you are selling
How will my information remain confidential?
Putting this into practice, all of our business listings are generic, so prospective buyers have to contact us directly for details. Then, the prospective buyer must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before any basic financial information is provided. Sensitive financial documents and the business name are only revealed after the prospect has been “secret shopping” and desires to move forward.
